There's No Crying in Idol!

China has just released a statement that their upcoming version of Idol, Super Boys Voice, cannot have any crying, vulgarity, screaming fans, criticizing and humiliating comments from the judges, or anything else that would make good television. I guess they thought the previous season, Super Girls Voice, was morally bankrupt and want to avoid that this year. However, if you take all of that out then you're left with nothing but robots singing "healthy and ethically inspiring" songs. That is going to be very boring to watch. I feel for the Chinese. Everything they're taking out is what makes Idol so much fun to watch. It'll be interesting to see if this season has the same amount of popularity as the first.
